Grova ("App") is a product of Voters App, Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have when you use Grova.
Grova is a personal coaching, planning, and focus-protection app. Some features rely on AI providers, Apple Health, Screen Time / Family Controls, Google Calendar, voice services, notifications, and other third-party infrastructure. By using Grova, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We collect information from you directly, from your device, from connected integrations, and from service providers that help us operate Grova.
This may include your name, phone number, email address, age or onboarding details, profile preferences, subscription status, timezone, and account identifiers.
This includes messages you send, voice transcripts, goals, tasks, habits, trackables, reflections, observed patterns, coach memory, behavior profiles, behavior maps, and other information you create or confirm in the app.
If you connect a calendar account, we may collect calendar account metadata, event titles, timing, and related scheduling context so Grova can plan around your real commitments.
If you grant HealthKit access, Grova may read health and fitness data such as sleep analysis, step count, exercise minutes, active energy burned, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, VO2 Max, workout metadata, and related health summaries.
If you enable Focus Protection or Screen Time-based features, Grova may collect your selected blocked apps, categories, or websites, Screen Time threshold events, blocked-app shield interactions, and aggregated distraction or focus signals needed to operate those features for your own device.
We may collect voice recordings or transcripts you submit, push notification tokens, device model information, app version, crash diagnostics, and similar technical data used to provide and support the app.
If you subscribe, payment processing is handled by Apple or other authorized payment providers. We may receive subscription status, entitlement information, and limited purchase metadata from providers such as RevenueCat, but we do not receive your full payment card details.
Some Grova features use AI to generate coaching responses, planning help, summaries, and insights. Before Grova sends personal data to a third-party AI provider for these features, the app presents a disclosure and asks for your permission.
Data sent for AI processing may include your messages and voice transcripts, coaching profile and preferences, goals, tasks, habits, trackables, reflections, calendar context, and optional Apple Health summaries if you have connected HealthKit.
Depending on the feature being used, third-party AI providers may include OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic. Grova routes these requests through its own backend before they reach the AI provider.
If you do not want Grova to process your personal data with third-party AI providers, do not grant AI consent, or withdraw that consent later in the app.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the app, provide the services you request, comply with law, or complete a business transfer.
Grova uses service providers and infrastructure partners that may process your information on our behalf, including:
These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their role for Grova. We require providers that process data on our behalf to handle that information under privacy and security obligations designed to provide protections that are the same as or comparable to the protections described in this policy, subject to applicable law and their own privacy notices.
We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Grova, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support legitimate business operations.
Grova is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Grova after the updated policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.
